Isadora Bicheski

Undergraduate Student

Isadora is a fourth-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology. She is completing her Honours project in the Integrative Viromics Lab, where she investigates the role of human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs) in premature birth and aging among patients with Down syndrome. Through her undergraduate training and experience as part of the iGEM Calgary 2025 team, Isadora has developed a strong foundation in bioinformatics and biostatistics. She is eager to expand these skills further in the Integrative Viromics Lab while deepening her understanding of computational biology and applying problem-solving approaches to complex questions in virology. Outside the lab, Isadora enjoys staying active through fitness classes and hiking, and she finds inspiration in reading, particularly books on astrophysics.
